What goes into a comparison
Our comparisons are built from the seven criteria below. Coverage and reliability carry the most weight, because they decide whether anything else matters.
Coverage
A connection only works where it actually works. Check real-world signal and availability at your address before deciding.
Speed
Compare the download and upload speeds you need for your household. Look for sustained, typical speeds rather than best-case figures.
Reliability
Consider dropouts, latency and recovery time. These measures decide whether calls and video stay stable.
Price
Work out the total cost over the full term, including setup fees, hardware and any scheduled increases.
Contract terms
Check minimum terms, exit fees, price rise clauses and what happens at the end of the deal.
Hardware
Look at supplied routers, mesh options and antennas. Useful configuration and good range can matter more than raw speed.
Real-world usability
Setup, apps, billing clarity and support quality all affect how you use the service after installation.
